Course Title: Introduction to Music Theory II
Course Description: A continuation of MUS 188. Elements of music including meter, rhythm, melody, collections, counterpoint, form, harmony, texture, and timbre. Analysis, communication, and simple composition using these elements. Emphasis on developing interpretive skills as listeners and performers of music. Particular emphasis on musical processes that introduce ambiguity and require interpretation.
