Course Title: Language Identity and Ideology in Multilingual Settings

Course Description: Current debates on the relationship between language, identity, and ideology. Theories of identity and ideology related to a variety of educational settings. Negotiation of identity and ideology with respect to social relationships between writer and reader, teacher and student, classroom and community.
